Due to illness, Chef Luciano Carciotto will not be joining us April 26, but we've lined up TWO world-caliber chefs for the event.
Celebrated pizza makers Emiliano Fermo and Pasquale Di Maio are bringing their world championship-caliber skills to Houston for a one-time, unbelievable dining experience at The Ivy & James in beautiful Evelyn’s Park on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017.
Two events are planned: A Children's Pizza Making Class, and a Family-Style, authentic Italian dinner.
Children's Pizza Making Class - 1:30PM
Chefs Fermo, and di Maio are participating in a children's pizza cooking class hosted by The Ivy & James executive chef Jamie Zelko and her wife, Dalia Zelko. "We're thrilled to be involved with such an amazing event and we're eagerly anticipating tasting world-class pizza," said Roberta Marcenaro Lyon, co-founder of Forever Gourmet. "This is a phenomenal opportunity to show children that pizza can be a true gourmet experience -- and one they can recreate with their own talents."
The children event is Scheduled for 1:30 pm. Tickets to the children's class are limited to 30 kids (must be accompanied by an adult, and adult does not require an additional ticket), and can be purchased here:

A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit Evelyn’s Park conservancy.
Autherntic Italian Family-Style Dinner - 7:00PM
International pizza makers and Chefs Emiliano Fermo and Pasquale Di Maio are bringing their world championship-caliber skills to Houston for a one-time, unbelievable dining experience at The Ivy & James in beautiful Evelyn’s Park. The intimate event will include a prix fixe, family-style dining experience featuring the same pizza that earned top marks at the pizza championship earlier this year in Las Vegas, along with other delectable entrees. Dinner will be perfectly paired with a flight of wines from noted winemaker Paul Hobbs.
Forever Gourmet Co-founders Roberta Marcenaro Lyon and Atticus Lyon, will also be joining this special evening.

About Chef Fermo: Chef Emiliano Fermo, born and trained in Formia on Italy’s Lazio Coast, has been learning the ‘Art of the Pizza’ since he was 15 years-old. After working in several restaurants over the years he opened his first restaurant, San Pietro, which he ran for 8 years before moving to New York City as a master pizza chef. In 2013 he moved to Miami Beach, Florida where he started working at one of Italy’s largest flour companies, and began competing in The International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas. He is ranked 6th in the world.
About Chef di Maio: Pasquale Di Maio was born and raised in Napoli, Italy, the pizza capital of the world. After many years in various restaurant roles and having been raised in a family of entrepreneurs, Pasquale followed his dream of creating amazing pizzas and Italian entrees. In 2007 Pasquale moved to Minnesota and started Vesuvio's in 2012, specializing in wood-fired pizza and authentic Italian dishes. Pasquale is also the representative for Pizzaioli in Giro per il Mondo (Association of Pizza Makers Around the World) for all U.S. members.
